One of the things that sets Daymaker apart from other coordinators is the way that we go about planning an event, specifically with regards to the design discovery process that is included in our full service package.
After getting to know our couples and understanding what they want their wedding to look and feel like, taking note of their non-negotiables, and (of course) nailing down a clear budget, we put together a visual proposal. The proposal includes a mood board to give an overall visual of the design direction, along with things like inspiring fabric swatches or coordinating paint chips— anything to give our clients something tangible to view before committing to a design! We also include a list of all of our top recommendations for sourcing items like linens, chairs, etc. The sources laid out in the packet are by no means set in stone, but they are items that we can guarantee are within budget, cohesive with the rest of the wedding, and available in the area.
This system accomplishes two huge things. One, it clearly defines the wedding style and allows us to see the concept on paper before purchasing anything. After receiving the proposal, our clients are free to make any changes that they would like to before moving forward. Two, it takes away the couple’s stress of finding vendors without taking away their creativity or opinion in the matter. We present options, they give us their selections, and we book them. Simple as that!
